File documents an unsuccessful competition entry by the Foreign Office Architects for the Meyong-Dong Cathedral competition, Seoul, South Korea. The competition called for the design of 35,000 m2 that included two elements: an urban public space surrounding the Meyong-Dong cathedral area in the heart of Seoul’s financial and commercial district, and a large religious convention and cultural centre. The Foreign Office Architects made it to the second phase of the competition, and ultimately were awarded 2nd prize.
The file contains competition documentation, computer generated drawings, plans, presentation material, and over 200 photographic slides. File also contains digital material that is currently being processed and is temporarily unavailable for consultation. Material in this file was produced between 1995 and 1996.
