Scope and Content

File documents the Foreign Office Architects’ entry into an international competition to design a new headquarters for Euskotren, Durango, Spain. The competition called for the design of a unique office building, an underground train station, five residential towers, retail space, and a large park of 45,000 m2. Zaha Hadid was awarded 1st prize, but the other participants, including the Foreign Office Architects, were offered the opportunity to design one of five residential towers (see Dossier AP171.S1.2004.D5 Durango Housing). Material in this file was produced between 2003 and 2004.
