Birmingham New Street Railway Station
File documents a successful competition entry for the Birmingham New Street Station, Birmingham, England. This international design competition for a transport development project was coordinated by RIBA, on behalf of The New Street Gateway Steering Group, which included the Birmingham City Council, Network Rail, Centro and Advantage West Midlands. The final design by the Foreign Office Architects was chosen by a panel of representatives from each of the funding partners, chaired by Sir Bernard Zissman, but the Foreign Office Architects did not remain involved in the project after 2014. Material in this file was produced between 2006 and 2010.
File includes reports, plans and presentation material.
