For the sixth of our outdoor concerts, Pierre-Yves Martel improvises on viola da gamba and harmonica. These summer sessions jump through time to sample and contrast period music from the thirteenth century until today. All concerts take place on the green park in front of CCA, unless it rains—then they move indoors to the Shaughnessy House.
Instrumentalist Pierre-Yves Martel revisits the viola da gamba through unconventional techniques and technical augmentation to produce new kinds of music.
