Collectives as Tools to Resist Fragmentation

Seminar, in English, 11 July 2023, 2pm to 4pm (EST)

Studio Urban is a multidisciplinary research collective based in Khartoum, Sudan. The work of Studio Urban focuses primarily on urban subjects, including physical urban space, its history, how people experience it, what dynamics influence this experience, and how urban space is affected by the state and its policies. Studio Urban’s work is research-based and deals with archives and communication of knowledge.

Studio Urban aspires to be the centre of urban studies in Sudan and a knowledge-sharing hub. In part, its mission is to redefine knowledge-sharing by developing open-access platforms with full accessibility for all people, regardless of their education level and ability to access technology.
