Please join us for a conversation about the collection Phosphore of the Presses de l’Université Laval, with Ariane Ouellet-Pelletier, Jocelyn Robert, Samuel Bernier-Lavigne and Marie-Christiane Mathieu.
Les Presses de l’Université Laval is one of the largest French-language academic publishers in North America, releasing nearly eighty books per year, most of which are published in one of the collections supported by their collection directors. The Phosphore collection, edited by Marie-Christiane Mathieu, is dedicated to artists’ writings, texts on art as research, and the development of concepts that determine interdisciplinary practices and theories in art. It offers artists, theorists, and writers a versatile platform for creating an original body of work in a variety of formats: catalogs, essays, limited-edition artist’s books, and periodicals.
For the occasion, Ouellet-Pelletier, Bernier-Lavigne, Robert and Mathieu will present and discuss their contributions to the publications Nous sommes tous des astronautes : scénarios et prototypes pour des temps extrêmes. Complément 2 : essais sur la réalité et le virtuel, Le dispositif Teyssot, and L’encyclopédie du S Singulier, all three part of the Phosphore series.
This event is free of charge, but space is limited, so registration is recommended.
