For a Sunday afternoon, the Canadian Centre for Architecture morphs into a temporary publishing house exploring the specificities of architectural bookmaking. Inspired by the book (and the eponymous exhibition) The Anatomy of the Architectural Book by André Tavares, this workshop highlights the many technical challenges associated with the production of such objects. Through a series of manual operations—binding, folding, pasting, pressing—join us and test out the multiple ways architects create books through actions that echo the ways buildings are designed.
For children aged 5 to 12, accompanied by an adult. Free, but spaces are limited. Please reserve ahead: 514 939 7026.
You can search for everything here—our exhibitions, events, collection, articles, and bookstore. If you have any questions, please email us at publications@cca.qc.ca.
