Climate Realism: Preliminary Encounters

Special event, Shaughnessy House, 9 March, 5pm

Join Media@McGill at the CCA for a series of short interventions and critical readings on the themes of climate, art, media, and environment, followed by a lecture. This event is presented in advance of Media@McGill’s international colloquium Réalisme Climatique/Climate Realism, held 10 March 2017 at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal.

Participants include Jacqueline Atkin, Lynn Badia, Lev Bratishenko, Marija Cetinic, Jeff Diamanti, Kyrstin Felts, Burç Kostem, Bénédicte Ramade, and Angelina Smolynec. The event is followed, at 7pm, by a lecture by Nicholas Shapiro.

The event is presented in conjunction with the CCA’s exhibition It’s All Happening So Fast: A Counter-History of the Modern Canadian Environment.
