25h City
Students are challenged to propose a design that stimulates new interactions between night and day in the city, infills our urban realm during nighttime with innovative strategies toward a more just and inclusive city, and accepts and mediates encounters of differences. The 25th hour references the new possibilities that arise when day and night are considered equal, as continuous instead of opposed.
The Charrette is organized by the CCA and Université de Montréal, in collaboration with McGill University and the Université du Québec à Montréal, and with the participation of Concordia University, Université Laval, Carleton University, Ryerson University, the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo, and Laurentian University.
The Charrette is open to students and recent graduates in architecture, landscape architecture, environmental design, urban design, planning, industrial design, and graphic design.
