Martien de Vletter, our Associate Director, Collection, joins a roundtable discussion organized by the Inventer le Grand Paris collective, who initiated a series of seminars on the photography of metropolitan territories and of Paris in particular. The afternoon session (2:30pm to 5:30pm, Paris time) will address the relevance of photography in urban and metropolitan archives. How do photographs support research on the city? Are photographs valued and how? Do urban or metropolitan areas have a special place in archives? What dialogue is there between photographic and urban archives?
