CCA Director Giovanna Borasi will be speaking at the Centro de Estudios de Arquitectura Contemporánea (CEAC), at the School of Architecture and Urban Studies at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella in Buenos Aires, on how architects are reformulating dwelling space in response to salient social and demographic shifts. Changing conceptions of family, intense economic pressures, the crisis of the unhoused, the rise of solo dwelling, and the global ageing population are all provoking to rethink how they can create spaces that support growing vulnerable populations.
Giovanna’s talk, introduced by Isabella Moretti, will touch on recent works by architects including Go Hasegawa, Alexander Hagner, Takashi Ippei, Assemble Studio, Sam Chermayeff, and Michael Maltzan. It is part of Di Tella Arquitectura’s public lecture series Archivo Di Tella Arquitectura developed by the CEAC, headed by Javier Agustín Rojas, with the support of the CCA.
