Book launch: Building Arguments series

Event, in English, CCA Bookstore, 16 November 2023, 6pm

Please join us for a conversation around Building Arguments, a series of small books co-published by the CCA and Concordia University Press.

Building Arguments present a selection of writings by Canadian architects on the built environment. Introduced by contemporary scholars or practitioners, this series of short pamphlets deploy the CCA’s holdings of mid- to late twentieth-century archives and cast new light on the contributions made by Canadian architects in the field of architecture writ large.

Jane Mah Hutton (landscape architect and assistant professor at the University of Waterloo) and Melanie O’Brian (acting director, associate director and curator of the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery) will discuss their contributions to Cornelia Hahn Oberlander on Pedagogical Playgrounds and Arthur Erickson on Learning Systems respectively. The event is moderated by Meredith Carruthers, managing and production editor at Concordia University Press.

This event is open to the public, no reservation needed.
