Summary:
"Un Fantastico Altrove" is a photography book and, at the same time, a visual diary – both intimate and political – that tells the story of a queer relationship shaped by time, distance, returns and transformations. Through a flow of images and words, the bond between Silvia Clo Di Gregorio and Samuele Galli takes shape: a story that is both biography and utopia. Their emotional archive moves between personal experience and collective imagination, mapping a geography made of closeness, care and desire. Here, queer love becomes a celebration of the possibility to inhabit the world otherwise – together, beyond normative frameworks, yet deeply rooted in everyday life as both a political gesture and euphoric feeling.

Summary:
A great thinning of the skies is underway. Around 50% of bird species are in decline worldwide. Our dawns and springs are quieter each year than the last. It does not have to be this way-- but we will not save what we do not love. "The book of birds" is a compendium of forty-nine bird species, from Avocet to Yellowhammer, all of which are declining or endangered. Inspired by the classic bird-books with which the authors grew up, this is a field guide with a difference. It asks not "What is that bird?," but "Who is that bird?" It shows its readers how to identify birds, but also how to identify with them.

Summary:
At first glance a children’s book, Jeane D'aam’s illustrated story is actually an introduction to modern Dutch architecture. Everything starts with a square. A square can be rotated, doubled, divided in two, and then again in four. Its corners can then be cut, stretched, and more. One page at a time, the shape of a house begins to appear. The Dutch, however, love houses with low roofs in the countryside, so these shapes change again to become hexagonal. In cities, on the other hand, a lot of rectangular houses are needed, perhaps joined together by a bridge. Finally, by adding doors, windows, and a touch of colour, this series of geometric shapes turns into perfect Dutch houses.

The stories Vivian tells in this book are also framed by these teachings of Courage, Love, Wisdom, Respect, Truth, Humility and Honesty, with each teaching illuminating an aspect of how working with Dene, Cree, Saulteaux, Métis, Inuit and Inuvialuit communities has influenced her design practice.

Summary:
Newspaper articles, speeches, and essays show Sunil Gupta’s crucial role at the center of grassroots queer and postcolonial organizing throughout an artistic career lived between Canada, the UK, and India. In his pieces about homosexuality in Indian cities, the AIDS crisis, the Black Arts Movement, or key figures including Joy Gregory and Robert Mapplethorpe, Gupta foregrounds the power of cultural activism in the politically fraught contexts of London and Delhi, and illuminates the essential connections between queer migration and self-discovery. Continually questioning given forms of identity, Gupta offers artists and curators multiple strategies of resistance, carving out space for new ways of imagining what it might mean to live, love, and create.

This first volume of JRP|Ringier’s complete John Baldessari writings project traces the genesis and development of the artist’s understanding of art in the early 1960s. These writings address everything from matters of color in sculpture, to the dilemmas of art students in need of ideas, to the art world’s ever-conflicted relationship with money, while always returning to Baldessari’s love of language and his longstanding investigation into the tensions of word and image.
