Available in dvd format only.2003, USA, 116 minutes. "My architect" is a tale of love and art, betrayal and forgiveness - in which the illegitimate son of a legendary artist undertakes a five-year, worldwide exploration to understand his long-dead father. Louis I. Kahn, who died in 1974, is considered by many architectural historians to have been the most important architect of the second half of the twentieth century. A Jewish immigrant who overcame poverty and the effects of a devastating childhood accident, Kahn created a handful of intensely powerful and spiritual buildings - geometric compositions of brick, concrete and light - which, in the words of one critic, 'change your life.' While Kahn's artistic legacy was an uncompromising search for truth and clarity, his personal life was filled with secrets and chaos: He died, bankrupt and unidentified, in the men's room in Penn Station, New York, leaving behind three families - one with his wife of many years and two with women with whom he'd had long-term affairs. In My Architect, the child of one of these extra-marital relationships, Kahn's only son Nathaniel, sets out on an epic journey to reconcile the life and work of this mysterious, contradictory man.

Summary:
This is the first book devoted to the Bangladeshi architect Marina Tabassum and her multifaceted architectural oeuvre. Tabassum’s exploratory approach makes her architectural practice one of the outstanding contemporary positions internationally. Her diverse oeuvre spans from governmental projects to housing and has brought her numerous honors and accolades in the international field of architecture. The selection of her architecture in this book ranges from early projects in the city of Dhaka shortly after completing her studies at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) to recent mobile modular structures called Khudi Bari. Tabassum is establishing the latter for the people affected by displacement in various geographically and climatically challenged locations—both in the Ganges Delta and in the Rohingya refugee camp at Cox’s Bazar on the border to Myanmar, which is currently the largest refugee camp in the world.

Summary:
In 2004, following more than ten years of research, the European Space Agency decided to send the Rosetta probe to study the 67P comet Churyumov Gerasimenko, nicknamed ''Tchoury.'' After a ten-year voyage and hundreds of millions of miles crossed through space, the probe entered the comet's orbit and stayed there for 18 months- a first in the history of space conquest. Its lander, Philae, a kind of miniature science laboratory, landed directly on Tchoury's surface to sample matter for analysis. The mission: to find some answers to the questions of the origins of the solar system and the emergence of life on Earth. Among the important data collected by the Rosetta probe were scores of new photographs of the comet, printed in this volume in vivid detail . ''The Comet'' also includes a text by Jean-Pierre Bilbring, an astrophysicist involved with the Rosetta project.
