Pour rendre compte du parcours de ce photographe aux images remarquables, nous avons fait appel à trois auteur(e)s qui ont démontré beaucoup de sensibilité envers la pratique de l’artiste et de profondeur dans leur réflexion. Valérie Litalien remonte le fil du parcours de l’artiste jusqu’à son origine, démontrant à quel point ses portraits photographiques d’arbres s’inscrivent dans une continuité naturelle. Bernard Schütze se penche quant à lui sur l’ambivalence du réel et du faux qui prévaut dans le travail de l’artiste, situant ainsi son analyse dans un contexte philosophique et historique de l’art. De son côté, l’auteur Marcel Blouin fait part des réflexions suscitées chez lui par les photographies de Philibert, des oeuvres qu’il a pu côtoyer de près.
