Summary:
A publication based on "Pandemic objects", an editorial project that compiles and reflects on objects that have taken on new meaning and purpose during the Covid-19 pandemic. During times of pandemic, a host of everyday often-overlooked "objects" are suddenly charged with new urgency. Toilet paper becomes a symbol of public panic, a forehead thermometer a tool for social control, convention centres become hospitals, while parks become contested public commodities. By compiling these objects and reflecting on their changing purpose and meaning, the project aims to paint a unique picture of the pandemic and the pivotal role objects play within it.

Summary:
In an unraveling world we must begin to reimagine our most foundational ways of being. And what is more foundational than Time? Separated from the fabric of the cosmos, the vast mystery of Time has been distilled into a tool of control. But what kind of Time listens and moves in tune with the Earth; travels not in a straight line, but in a circle? Time, our first(...)

Time, our first hardcover edition, journeys through the many landscapes of Time: deep time, geological time, kinship time, ancestral time, sacramental time. If we can recognize a different kind of Time, can we come to dwell within it?

Summary:
Architecture is the perfect form of camouflage. As buildings recede into the background of everyday life, the myriad forces that shape our natural, social, and political landscapes hide in plain sight. Embedded within the spatial and material organizations of the built environment are ideas of value, hierarchy, and control that tilt the ground and influence perception in the name of endless competing interests. This issue of ''Perspecta'' considers the complexities and potentialities of architectural concealment, obfuscation, and mimicry; of the power inherent in architecture's expanding capacity as media. In the veiled extents of our physical and digital worlds, what is still not found?

Summary:
A presentation of Werner Sobek's experimental but fascinating house in Stuttgart which caused a furore when it was built. When this single family house was built, it took the international architecture world by storm. Constructed on a modular basis, it was glazed throughout, had no interior dividing walls, and could meet its own energy requirements completely. This is the first book to document Sobek's unique house. In it the author explains the architectural design, describing the supporting structures, the technology used, the temperature control system, and to conclude he explores what it must be like to live in such a futuristic building.

This architectural guide is a ticket to a journey of discovery off the beaten tourist path through Venice after 1950. The boat trips and walks in the guide lead to new residential complexes and converted harbour sheds, to works by Carlo Scarpa, Tadao Ando and David Chipperfield. This travel guide also examines controversial new projects like the flood control barriers or spectacular conversions like that of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi by Rem Koolhaas. In addition to never realised designs by Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier and Louis Kahn, the authors present all the Biennale pavilions from the last six decades.

Summary:
Set against the background of a ‘general crisis’ that is environmental, political and social, this book examines a series of specific intersections between architecture and feminisms, understood in the plural. The collected essays and projects that make up the book follow transversal trajectories that criss-cross between ecologies, economies and technologies, exploring specific cases and positions in relation to the themes of the archive, control, work and milieu. The many voices gathered here are united by the task of putting critical concepts and feminist design tools to use in order to offer experimental approaches to the creation of a more habitable world.
