Summary:
Building loosely on the form of a pocket-sized travel guide, "731.52 cm of land" unfolds into a 731.52 cm wide miniature landscape. Composed of hand-painted and digitally illustrated images stitched together into a continuous sequence, the book includes a poem and short narrative by the artist, an essay co-authored with Daniella Sanader, and an afterword by Heather Canlas Rigg. A sticker sheet featuring animal and plant forms is included as an insert. Functioning as a poetic visual-textual essay, the book unsettles the familiar logic of travel guides and the explorer’s gaze. It troubles the impulses of sightseeing, navigation, and tourism, while calling into question the authoritative languages of archaeology, botany, taxonomy, and cartography. It emerges from ongoing inquiries in Nour Bishouty’s practice around permission, legibility, and understanding.

Summary:
"Studies on Squats" is an evocative exploration of embodied resistance and political movement that uses the multifaceted posture of the "Asian Squat" as a lens through which broader concepts of migration, illness, and resilience are examined. In "Studies on Squats," the body—in its most vulnerable and potent states—becomes a speculative site for reclaiming agency by crafting new forms of protest that draw from ancestral strength, humor and eroticism. This posture, rich with cultural resonance, offers as an entry point to imagine ways in which the body can engage in acts of defiance against systems of oppression. "Studies on Squats" invites the audience to consider how dance and choreographic thinking can serve as tools for envisioning alternative futures, where artistry empowers those enduring systemic social injustices to transform their realities.

This facsimile publication contains two related bodies of work from American conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner (1942–2012) represented as typewritten statements on paper that Weiner pasted to the pages of a small notebook. Distinct from his contemporaries associated with the Land Art movement, Weiner constructs his landscape interventions in language-the specific and/or general act and the location are stated-offering the reader/viewer the opportunity to consider each work's existence, to build it in their mind's eye.

Summary:
The existing art historical narrative on the early career and development of Donald Judd—a landmark figure in the history of postwar art—focuses predominantly on activities and reception in his homeland. As the artist established his formal and conceptual language and received his first critical and institutional recognition in the United States, remarkably little attention has been paid to what has happened on the other side of the Atlantic. Writing from Antwerp, Belgium and working with a rich array of sources from archives in Belgium and The Netherlands, Wouter Davids discloses that during the early years of his European career, Judd could count on significant critical and institutional interest in the European region better known as the Low Countries. The starting point is an interview with Judd for Belgian Radio and Television (BRT) from 1970, published here for the first time.
