For children ages 3–10
The exhibition ᐊᖏᕐᕋᒧᑦ / Ruovttu Guvlui / Towards Home showcases space-making practices of Inuit and Sámi people. At its core, it is about the creation and memories of home, something we can all understand from a young age.
This interactive tour of the exhibition allows children to learn about the climate in the Arctic and the lifestyle of Northern Indigenous peoples through immersive scavenger hunts, tactile exploration of materials, sensory installations, and a reading of books written by Inuit authors. The narrative of the exhibition highlights the nomadic lifestyle, building practices, and everyday rituals that shape the Northern definition of “home.”
This is a 90-minute tour given in English or French and offered until March 26. We can accommodate 1 class (of up to 20 students) per visit. To make a reservation, or for more information, please contact us at public@cca.qc.ca or call +1 514 939 7002.
