Join us on 26 February for the opening of Interactive Entertainment Architecture: Culture Lab, Toronto 1991–1994. Drawn from the CCA Brian Boigon fonds, the exhibition focuses on Toronto’s The Rivoli rock club and Queen Street West in the early 1990s, revisiting Culture Lab—the architect’s radical interdisciplinary intervention in design and architectural discourse. The exhibition presents unseen videos from the twelve-part Culture Lab symposium with related projects to reconsider what it meant—and still means—to create for live, networked media.
The exhibition opens at 5pm. At 6pm in the Paul-Desmarais Theatre, Brian Boigon introduces Culture Lab and exhibition curator Farzin Lofti-Jam presents his curatorial approach. As space is limited in the theatre, registration is recommended for the lecture. Click here to register.
Registration to access the exhibition and celebration in the Shaughnessy House is not required.
Schedule:
5pm: Exhibition opens
6pm: Presentation begins in the Paul-Desmarais Theatre
7–9pm: Celebration in the Shaughnessy House
This event is in English. Entrance is free.
