Visiting Scholar Seminar: Marco Venturi

The Practice of Theoreticians. The Moderns in “other” contexts
Seminar, 31 May 2002

Visiting Scholar Marco Venturi explain about his research and presentation.

The presentation focuses on some important works by famous masters, which have never been published nor used to enlighten their theoretical writings. This includes works by: Le Corbusier, May, Unwin and Parker, Geddes and Sitte. The issue of the reasons behind the disappearance of such works from the current historiographical and critical debate will also be addressed.

Marco Venturi is a Professor for Urban Design at the IUAV-Venice, and has taught History of Urban Design at the TU-Wien, Dortmund and Algiers.

Marco Venturi was a Visiting Scholar at the CCA in 2002.
