An archive is usually named for one person, but it always contains many other voices. This summer we read complaints, discoveries, protests and pleadings selected from the notes and correspondence of the Gordon Matta-Clark archive. This series accompanies the three-part exhibition, Out of the Box: Gordon Matta-Clark selected by Yann Chateigné, Hila Peleg, and Kitty Scott.
Reading the Archive Out Loud began in 2017 with readings of material from the archive of Kenneth Frampton, entitled “Dear Ken.” In 2018, we focused on the archives of Cornelia Hahn Oberlander, and James Stirling and Michael Wilford.
