Feminist Architectural Histories of Migration

Event, in English, Daniels Building, University of Toronto, 17 November 2022, 6:30pm to 8pm

In the summer of last year we launched our first guest-edited web issue, Of Migration, organized by Anooradha Iyer Siddiqi and Rachel Lee as part of a multi-sited inquiry into the feminist architectural histories of migration that also includes Architecture Beyond Europe and Aggregate. To mark the launch of a collection of articles on the three platforms, the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto hosts an in-person event to discuss migration as a central concept of feminist thought in space-making practices. Participating in the event are the project editors and initiators, members of the publishing teams including CCA’s editor Alexandra Pereira-Edwards, and some of the project authors.
