JTM 001 with Christopher Dessus and Éloïse Carrier

Magazine launch, in French, CCA Bookstore, 17 October 2024, 6pm

Please join us for a conversation around the first issue of JTM, So That You Love Me Again, published by Pli office.

What if our ability to appreciate and love spaces and objects over the long term was the very foundation of our practice? Can we love an object again after years? Can a space appreciate our presence over time? In a world where production and speed are paramount and decisive, what about the future of our professions? How can we look at the subject differently and establish a lasting relationship with it?

JTM is an annual publication that promotes and makes understandable approaches and know-how in art, design, architecture and scenography. This first issue brings together designers who are rooted in their feelings and emotions, such as Formafantasma, GGSV, L’Atelier Senzu, Fishbach, Romain Brau, Bunker Palace Pinaffo & Pluvinage, Atelier Blam and Xolo Cuintle. This more applied and subjective view provides an unexpected insight into our contemporary issues. Emotional creation examines our environment, the objects we wear and display, the spaces in which we grow up and the tools with which we build.

On this occasion, Christopher Dessus and Éloïse Carrier will discuss their contributions to the magazine, how this project came to be, and the process of designing this first issue.

This event is open to the public, no reservation needed.
