CCA Soirée + After Party

The annual grand fundraising event
Our annual fundraising event, 22 May, starting at 6pm

This year’s CCA fundraising Gala—a vital opportunity to build support for the centre’s mission and ensure the sustainability of its programs—is held on Thursday, 22 May.

This year’s event, What to build or not to build?, celebrates new forms of practice that reposition the role of the architect in response to the urgency of the climate crisis and in transforming our society. The evening will stimulate conversations around our latest documentary and exhibition To Build Law, which presents a remarkable initiative aimed at mobilizing European citizens around new legislation intended to encourage the renovation and transformation of existing buildings rather than their demolition. This project is one of the ways in which we interpret our mission to make architecture a public concern.

The event will also offer the opportunity to celebrate the invaluable archival donations by architects Toyo Ito, Bernard Tschumi, and Victor Adegbite to the CCA Collection, and to learn more about the CCA’s wider programming and impact from some of its members.

This year, the CCA Soirée will be followed by the After Party, a benefit event organized in partnership with Kollectif and the Ordre des architectes du Québec.
