Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

Composition is a laterally-reversed image housed within a dark brown, leather bound case with an embossed floral pattern and gold coloured border design on exterior of case. Image plate is under a gold coloured mat and glass with a simple preserver and red velvet pinch pad. A red velvet pad with embossed design is on the interior, non-image half of the case.

Inscription:

- Scrap of cardboard inserted in case with inscription: "SIGN/READS/FOXCROFT/HOUSE/EC THOMPSON" and "Melrose/Moss" on the verso.
