Summary:

"When Hans Glas designed a villa in Pötzleinsdorf for the Jewish physician couple Anna and Philipp Rezek in the historically portentous year 1933, it was among Vienna's most visionary residences. Today, the architect Hans Glas, a student of Adolf Loos, has been largely forgotten in Austria. At that time, Vienna was an inspiring cultural metropolis with close ties between architecture, design, music, and literature, as well as philosophy, medicine, and psychoanalysis. The 'Glas house,' as the grandchildren of the family call the villa, perfectly embodies this unique synergy. -- Back cover.
