Architects Plaut and Sarovic present a compilation of unedited material prepared and selected from historical archives and research works dedicated to the architectural legacy of Emilio Duhart (b. Tamuco, Chile 1917), highlighting the design, construction process and inauguration in 1966 of the ECLAC's building (Santiago headquarters to the United Nations' Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean) considered one of the most important works of modern architecture in the world. Includes historic photographs of Burmese diplomat U Thant, Secretary-General of the United Nations (1961-1971) and the President of Chile Eduardo Frei Montalva (1964-1970).
