Summary:
The election, in 1979, of a Conservative administration led by Margaret Thatcher effectively marked the end of Britain’s heroic era of social housing provision. Over the next four decades, successive governments put faith in the private sector’s capacity to build homes in the numbers Britain needs. Consistently, that faith proved unfounded. The resultant housing shortfall has sent property prices rocketing beyond the reach of younger people, and led to record levels of homelessness and rough sleeping. At a moment when Britain is finally beginning to confront the enormity of its housing crisis, ''Project Interrupted'' asks what we can learn from the experiences of a previous generation and hears from some of the most ambitious architects working in the field of housing today about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Summary:
"Make City" collects contributions from architects, planners, landscape designers and municipal policymakers on the crises facing contemporary cities, presenting a variety of strategies to reconfigure and reimagine urban life. The intertwined problems of continuous development and rising real estate prices are rendering cities increasingly uninhabitable for many, a situation that will continue to be exacerbated by the mounting pressure of climate change on metropolitan infrastructures. This volume proposes models of localized food production, community-centered planning and sustainable architecture design that renew and optimize existing structures in alternative models of urban economy. Developed in tandem with Berlin’s Make City festival, design proposals are displayed across over 350 colour illustrations and writings from contributors including AFF Architects, Anupama Kundoo, Michel Bouwens/P2P Foundation, Francesca Bria SESC, Tessy Britton, Bureau SLA, Marco Casagrande, Eva de Klerk, De Urbanisten, FAR frohn and Kraftwerk 1.

Summary:
This issue is devoted to the Italian designer, artist, and inventor Bruno Munari, whose visual experiments were so iconic as to become a self-evident part of visual culture. At its core is the first English translation of ‘Obvious Code’ (1971), a collection of Munari’s own writings, sketches, and poems about his work. It includes iconic design objects such as the Abitacolo, artworks like his series of handmade projection slides, obscure rhymes about the art market, and an original piece from his 'unreadable books' series. Dozens of artists, designers, writers, and curators were invited to annotate Munari’s texts as a testament to the depth of his influence on international art.

Summary:
Luigi Bonotto dedicated himself to keeping the work of the artists of Fluxus and Experimental Poetry alive, and to preserving, cataloguing, and promoting their poetry, music, and work, which was strongly influenced by John Cage and the key concept of his theoretical framework, indeterminacy. Published on the occasion of an exhibition curated by Patrizio Peterlini and Walter Rovere, with the collaboration of Giorgio Maffei, this catalogue delves deeply into this aspect of the Fluxus network. Rife with illustrations, the materials of the collection, as well as the movement and its history, are analysed in scholarly essays by Anna Cestelli Guidi, Alison Knowles, and the curators.
