Chacune des dix-sept œuvres présentées était réalisée par un duo comprenant un artiste et une agence d’architecture de renommée internationale, à qui l’on avait demandé, pour la première fois, de travailler ensemble. C’est ainsi qu’ont par exemple collaboré Anish Kapoor et Future Systems, Yoko Ono et Isozaki, Kiki Smith et Lebbeus Woods, Carsten Höller et Williams & Tsien ou encore Cai Guo-Qiang et Zaha Hadid. D’abord conçu comme une exposition d’art, “Snow Show” est rapidement devenu, par le caractère extrême et inhabituel des paramètres qui entraient en jeu, une expérience singulière. Les équipes d’architectes et d’artistes ont su élaborer des projets audacieux, allant de l’exercice d’expérimentation formelle à la prise de position artistique hautement conceptuelle.
