Summary:
The woven/Intersected/Reciewed series, gathering preparatory material, documentation on the works, and essays by critics or the artists themselves, these volumes contribute a discussion around commissioning, the notions of public vs. private collection, and the relationship between artists and patrons. Liam Gillick’s book shows the realization of his designs in conference rooms, corridors, and offices, coinciding with his sustained interest in the negotiation of a middle ground between corporate culture and contemporary art. The volume is accompanied by an artist’s essay discussing the dissolution of the public/private dichotomy into a grey zone of semi-public/semi-private spheres.

Summary:
Text by Will Bradley, Adam Budak, Friedemann Malsch, Jan Verwoert, Anthony Vidler. Monika Sosnowska was born in 1972 in Ryki, Poland. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, and currently she lives and works in Warsaw. She represented Poland at last year's art Biennale in Venice. In her installations that echo the formal language of constructivist avant-garde, minimal and conceptual tendencies of the 60s and the 70s as well as a heritage of modernist architecture, Monika Sosnowska constructs a physical and conceptual labyrinth, a post-narrative, inner world of spatiality, staged in a sequence of interventions that emphasize spaces virtualities and potentials.

Summary:
This first monograph devoted to the work of the influential and transgressive New York City painter of all things excessive, queer, abject, kitsch and twisted features selected works from 1994-2004--including drawings, paintings, collages and installations. Eisenman's work runs the gamut of visual references from Surrealism to Pointillism to WPA murals to name but a few, deftly moving from orgiastic crowds to Dionysian sacrifices, minotaur hunts and romps through art history and pop culture. Yet the wit and scope of Eisenman's vision often disguise the intimacy of her work. Here, cliches are turned inside out, gender roles are questioned, and one is engaged without fully realizing that the lushly painted scenes are always revealing something very personal. Features an essay by the painter Amy Sillman, a "panel discussion" between some of Eisenman's paintings by Matt Sharpe, and a biography.
