Charlotte Perriand est une icône du design à l'image de son célèbre tabouret de berger. Visionnaire, elle inventa un nouvel art d'habiter au XXe siècle : des formes, des meubles, des espaces salués dans le monde entier, qu'elle conçut dans l'atelier de Le Corbusier puis seule, contre vents et marées, et jusqu'au Japon. Mais c'est dans la nature et en montagne que cette créatrice surdouée trouvait son inspiration, enfant fascinée par les glaciers sur l'horizon, skieuse passionnée, alpiniste audacieuse, randonneuse curieuse de rencontrer les créateurs des villages et des alpages. Pascale Nivelle a puisé dans son exceptionnelle collection de photos pour raconter la vie d'une femme engagée, joyeuse, pour qui la montagne était une perpétuelle « re-création ».
