In 2018, Martens received a package from artist-curator Pierre Leguillon that contained filled-in Japanese forms which he had found at a street market in Tokyo. Martens was intrigued by the collection of thin paper with a rectangular black-blue layer of carbon on the back. In 2019 he started to print on these back sides, but because the overprinting on the carbon layer caused unwanted damage, he switched to printing them on the front sides as well. 'The closing image is related to Tokyo in a different way,' he explains.

Summary:
This volume, which accompanies the great retrospective exhibition devoted to Enzo Mari and curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist (Milan Triennial, 17 October 2020 – 18 April 2021), celebrates the work and thought of Enzo Mari, one of the leading masters and theorists of Italian design. These are chiefly reconstructed through the constant dialogue he engaged in, over the years, with the curator Hans Ulrich Obrist. Plans, sketches, unpublished archive material, essays and interviews illustrate over 60 years of work, tracing for the first time a systematic and exhaustive itinerary – articulated into 19 ''research platforms'' – that conveys Mari’s sensitivity as a designer, artist, critic and theoretician, along with the striking relevance of his thought. According to Mari, design can only be regarded as such if it also transmits knowledge. His projects, which have withstood the test of time, have been conceived in such a way as to be sustainable – from a material as much as aesthetic perspective – and accessible to all. As Hans Ulrich Obrist recalls, ''For Enzo everything revolves around the object, and good design alone is destined to triumph''.

Summary:
In the last ten years, the Dutch photographer Erik van der Weijde has been responsible for over fifty publications: these include not only slim photozines and simply produced brochures but also voluminous cloth-bound books — many of them distributed via his own publishing house 4478ZINE. This Is Not My Book provides for the first time an overview of his work, which constitutes one of the most important artistic positions at the interface between photography and independent publishing. The book uses large-format representations to show the lines of connection between the individual publications. It also contains van der Weijde’s 4478ZINE publishing manifesto and other texts as well as five conversations with the publishers Anne König and Jan Wenzel. This Is Not My Book indicates a full stop, an act of punctuation set down by the author with his published work.
