Summary:
When the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris asked Ari Marcopoulos to curate an exhibition around their acquisition ‘'Brown Bag'’, a short film on skateboarders in New York that he made in 1993, he was given access to the museum’s collection of over 15,000 works. He looked for themes related to the body, injuries, and architecture, along with what he perceived as challenging and puzzling works. Some of the artists were already familiar, while others were new to him. The process was not so different from his process as a filmmaker and photographer: so much of his work is about finding things. This book is a new look at photographs from around the time Marcopoulos shot ‘'Brown Bag'’.

In the form of a dystopian fable describing the world after the advent of AI, "The third atlas" goes beyond the astonishment or rejection aroused by these images of a new kind. It is a reflection on the way in which artificial intelligence calls into question our way of seeing and, beyond that, our perception of the real, leading us to formulate the hypothesis that this modified vision will shape the future forms of architecture, but also of design, sculpture and painting, perhaps even more than those of photography.

Summary:
An early advocate of color photography, Joel Meyerowitz has impacted and influenced generations of artists. For fifty-eight years, the master photographer has documented the United States’ ever-changing social landscape. During the late 1960s, Meyerowitz carried two cameras: one loaded with monochrome stock, the other with color. Just how, when, and why American fine art photographers switched from black-and-white image-making, prized within the gallery system, to color photography, once seen as the preserve of tourist photography, has been the cause of much debate. In ''Joel Meyerowitz: A Question of Color'', Meyerowitz tells the story of his early days as a photographer when he was told that serious photographers took black-and-white pictures. “But why,” he asked, “when the world is in color?” He then bought a color camera and various rolls of film and began to experiment with color techniques: a passion he continues to pursue.

Summary:
On the eve of the Women’s Day manifestations of 2021, the Mexican government erected metal barricades surrounding the National Palace—the seat of federal executive power—in the heart of Mexico City. This was meant to prevent damage by demonstrators and, therefore, "protect the heritage of all Mexicans and avoid confrontation...a wall of peace that guarantees liberty and protection from provocations," in the words of the President's spokesman. On Saturday, March 6, the feminist collective Antimonumenta CDMX decided to paint the barricades with the names of recent victims of femicide in Mexico. Over the next few hours, hundreds of women spontaneously gathered to honor the absent women, writing their names and leaving flowers: an offering to remember them, to not forget, and, by doing so, to honor them. This series of photographs documents the barricades that were intervened in those days so that they may still be read.

Summary:
How do we challenge the prevailing visual discourse of contemporary architecture? Is there a more harmonious architectural production path? Can we inhabit Earth without annihilating the very conditions sustaining us and others? "Dominio" confronts architecture’s grand narrative by illuminating its production processes. These images strive to trigger a critical introspection about architectural production and its socio-ecological footprint, while contesting the dominant visual narrative that perpetuates its existence. This publication, then, is a mosaic of queries, contradictions, and internal conflict. It serves as my introspective critique of how my role as an architectural photographer might have inadvertently contributed to architecture’s fetishization.
