Poiesis [Poetry] (2018)
AP207.S1.2018.PR04
Description:
The project series documents the installation "Poiesis" designed by Pettena and presented at the 2018 Biennale Gherdeina in Ortisei. The installation consists of sheets of corrugated cardboard and metal stays assembled to create three-dimensional letters that form the word "Poiesis". The project refers to Pettena's 1970s trilogy (Carabinieri, Milite Ignoto, and Grazia & Giustizia) of words constructed deliberately out of perishable material. The project series contains photographs of the installation, a video and a plan of the cardboard letters.
