This project series documents the design and construction of an office building and its signage for Marathon Realty in Toronto at the corner of York and Front Streets from 1980-1984. These materials are arranged under two project subseries based on the project numbers assigned by the creating office. The project numbers assigned were 8009 and 8009-8214A. The first subproject consisted of the design and construction of the office building (see project subseries AP018.S1.1980.PR09.SS1 for more detail) and the second subproject documented the installation of signs to the top of the building (see project subseries AP018.S1.1980.PR09.SS2 for more detail). This building, originally owned by Marathon Realty, became known as University Place and would eventually become the headquarters of CitiBank and be renamed Citigroup Place. The materials refer to the building primarily as University Place. These two subprojects are recorded through drawings, photographic materials, textual records and material samples dating from 1980-1987.
