This project series documents the Bata Limited office building in Toronto from 1962-1965. The office identified the project number as 6243. This project consisted of a three-storey office building for the shoe company, Bata Limited, located at the corners of Eglington Avenue and Don Mills Road. The building consisted of a basement with mechanical equipment and storage, a first floor with waiting room, cafeteria, kitchen and conference rooms, and second and third floors with general office space. This pavilion style building had 27 tree-like columns lining the outside that the top two storeys rested upon. The interior had similar columns to carry the design inside the building. This project was celebrated as an iconic example of modern architecture in Canada. It has since been demolished. The project is recorded through construction drawings, which are mostly reprographic copies, dating from 1963-1964.

Richards renovated and drove a Pontiac Firebird, named "Power Plant". The project was the subject of Vikky Alexander's essay "Back to the Future" in the Power Plant Gallery's "The Architecture Series", 1989, pp.25-31. The project was reviewed by Adele Freedman (Globe and Mail, March 5, 1988, p.C12), Christopher Hume (Architect designs gallery on wheels, Toronto Star, Feb. 27, 1988, p. G15), and pictured and discussed in The Canadian Architect, Vol. 33, no. 4, April 1988, p.6. Kripacz was born in Caracas, Venezuela, educated in Europe, the United States, and studied design in Vancouver and New York. He also went to the University of British Columbia for a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1964. He became a resident Canadian in 1961, and a Canadian citizen in 1973. In 1964 he founded an interior design and furniture import business in Vancouver with Arthur Erickson, and opened a showroom in Montreal (550 Sherbrooke St. West), in 1965. Kripacz designed the exhibition unit in Habitat 67 (by architect Moshe Safdie) for the 1967 World Exposition in Montreal, and created interiors for a private clientel as well as for many of Arthur Erickson's buildings. The latter included the Helmut Eppich House and Erickson's own residence in Vancouver, the Hilborn Residence in Ontario, the Prime Minister's office and resdence in Ottawa, the UBC Faculty Club, the Macmillan Blodel Bulding, Vancouver, the Bank of Canada Headquarters in Ottawa, the Student Union Building at Queen's University, Kingston, the Provincial Law Courts in Robson Square, Vancouver, Roy Thomson Hall and the Tech Mining offices in Toronto, the Canadian Chancery in Washington, D.C., amongst others. Sub-series also documents Erickson / Massey and Arthur Erickson Architects collaboration with Francisco Imported Furniture Ltd the company of Francisco Leopoldo Kripacz (b. 8 April, 1942 - d. 3 August, 2000). Kripacz was born in Caracas, Venezuela, educated in Europe, the United States, and studied design in Vancouver and New York. He also went to the University of British Columbia for a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1964. He became a resident Canadian in 1961, and a Canadian citizen in 1973. In 1964 he founded an interior design and furniture import business in Vancouver with Arthur Erickson, and opened a showroom in Montreal (550 Sherbrooke St. West), in 1965.
