Series
This series is made up of various correspondece files, promotional files, and topic files. Correspondence and promotional files relate to Parkin First Architects, Parkin Architects Planners, and John B. Parkin Associates. The correspondence documents several transportation projects including airports, projects for Marathon Realty Inc., stadium projects, the National Gallery, Art Gallery of Ontario, and the University of Ottawa. Promotional files give information on the firms, including design philosophy and the merger of John B. Parkin Associates and Smith Carter Searle.
Topic files mostly consist of newpaper clippings and articles on the topics of planning, management, some projects, John C. Parkin, and various files on architecture, such as architectural education and architecture criticism.
This series also contains a selection of invitations and Christmas cards as well as sound recordings and moving image recordings of interviews with the media, promotional recordings and recordings whose contents are unknown.
Materials in this series were compiled from different accessions.

Furthermore, there are newspaper clippings on John B. Parkin Associates, as well as documentation related to the merger between John B. This box contains several newspaper clippings on Mission Dome, Montreal Olympic Stadium, Metrodome, and Cansports Arena, as well a feasibility study for the arena and correspondence related to the Toronto Stadium proposals. There are also a few pieces of correspondence throughout these folders.
Other materials include minutes of meetings and reports for the National Industrial Design Council, correspondence related to Air Industries Association of Canada, and a study for future office development in the Borough of North York, Ontario. Furthermore, there is a small amount of material related to National Homes Corporation.

This box contains correpondence, presentation materials, and some research related to various projects and clients. This includes materials related to the Toronto Transportation Terminal, Mission Dome Inc., and Ottawa University. Moreover, there are several files related to a consortium, which Parkin Architects Planners was part of, that worked on proposals and presentations to build airports in various countries.
The box also includes documentation on Parkin First Architects, Fiset et Deschamps, architects, Parkin Architects Planners, and John B. Parkin Associates including their project list compiled in 1966.
