Summary:
Based around an out-of-print anthology devoted to prehistoric collections unearthed by archaeological expeditions in Algeria, French artist Camille Henrot's latest project treats this ethnographic material as motifs of a contemporary grotesque. The scientific document photographs, diagrams, and captions becomes part of a layered array incorporating traces of our present age: humans, animals, plants, minerals, and other objects. Freely mixing the pre- and post-historic, archaic and actual, Henrot constructs an exploration of human bodies, information media, and meaning using dated pornography, technological refuse, tools and instruments, signs, and more.

Summary:
The more than two hundred striking duotone plates in Hilla and Bernd Becher's Industrial Facades continue the famous Düsseldorf photographers' formal investigation of industrial structures, in this case the frontal elevations of factory buildings. Like the Bechers' earlier books on water towers, blast furnaces, and gas tanks, Industrial Facades once again clearly displays their serenely cool, rigorous approach to the structures they photograph as vaariations on an ideal form. The Bechers make no attempt to analyze or explain their subjects. Captions contain only the barest of information: time and place

A library is a collection of books kept for use. That axiom is key to this book. Even the title is sly: the portable document format refers both to texts assembled in the library at dextersinister.org, and to this other artifact of technology, a pocket-sized, hardcover book. Includes 13 texts by a variety of writers that investigate contemporary publishing in its broadest sense, stemming from a New York basement workshop and bookstore in 2006. The second part consists of reproductions of a series of 10 images titled W.A.S.T.E. Proof Prints, with their extended captions.

"William Morris: Pattern & design" begins with an introductory overview of Morris’s life and work. It explores how these iconic designs were created and printed in the late nineteenth century, and then shows the patterns, and many alternative colorways. The decade of each pattern is specified on each spread, and the vertical captions give as much uninterrupted space to the patterns as possible. This generously illustrated book showcases iconic designs including the famous Trellis, St. James's, and StrawberryThief, alongside lesser known, but equally fascinating patterns by Morris and Morris & Co. designers such as May Morris, Kate Faulkner, and John Henry Dearle.

Summary:
Very little is known about 'The Green Florilegium'. Neither signed nor dated, it is generally attributed to the German painter Hans Simon Holtzbecker and originates from the library at Gottorp Castle in Schleswig, on the border of Germany and Denmark. The album now resides at the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen. Recently the book was painstakingly restored, allowing the delicate illustrations to come to new life in their original colors. This volume reproduces the original work of 400 botanical illustrations in its entirety. It also includes an introductory essay and captions with basic information on each flower.
