Among the structures at Shobac are homes, barns, studios, cottages, fishing shacks, a boathouse, even a schoolhouse, all designed in Mackay-Lyons's compelling architectural language that fuses contemporary Modernism with Nova Scotia building traditions. SkyRoom is written in a new genre that Gaudet calls magic architectural realism, blending fact with historical fiction in presenting the lives of early inhabitants and visitors to the Shobac area, including Samuel de Champlain, a Mi'kmaq mystic, an Acadian carpenter and other lively characters whose ghostly presence swirl in the untold myths of this coastal Shangri-La. After making over a thousand "house portraits," Sorlien has chosen one representative image from each state and collected them in Fifty Houses. Shot with black-and-white infrared film, the homes captured through Sorlien's lens range from the grand to the humble, from the historic to the commonplace. Based on research by The Harvard Project on the City under the direction of Rem Koolhaas, this DVD represents a unique engagement with a hardly documented city, capturing multiple perspectives of a volatile moment in its evolution. In 2002, Bregtje van der Haak, in cooperation with architect Rem Koolhaas and The Harvard Project on the City made "Lagos/Koolhaas", a documentary on self-organization and urbanization in Nigeria. As a sequel to the documentary, Bregtje van der Haak together with designer Silke Wawro, developed the DVD "Lagos wide & close, an interactive journey into an exploding city". The DVD contains an interactive video documentary (60'), edited from 55 hours of unused material that brings the viewer closer to the explosively growing megalopolis Lagos. With bus driver Olawole Busayo, the viewer moves through the city and has a choice of a distant ('wide') or an involved ('close') perspective, at any random moment in the documentary.

For individuals, language and music carry fleeting emotions and thoughts; for human communities, they embody living histories and shared memories that reside in our collective consciousness. Embracing this holistic vision, the exhibition weaves individual breaths into the tapestry of global currents, embarking on a journey that awakens synesthetic sensations and delves into the realms of listening, perception, and resonance. In this information age, where attention fragments amidst discord and conflict, perhaps by experiencing and conveying the ineffable rhythmic beauty that transcends time and space, we can guide people back to their primal yearning for connection and mutual understanding. The publication ''Prosodic Notes'' emerges from the exhibition but isn't strictly bound by its concepts—it can be viewed as an alternative aspect of the exhibition. As we shaped this publication, we maintained an open dialogue with artists around the question: "How can works that pulse with sound and language find new life within the bounds of pages?" Some content consists of the original creations by artists. Another thread weaves in the artists' journeys toward their final works, including sketches, notes, archives, and interviews. These elements serve as passageways connecting living memories and experiences of the exhibition.
