Résumé:
Modern glass facades are technically demanding and fascinating in design. Glass as a building material has diverse characteristics, even contrary on occasion, and architects are increasingly using the high design potential of fully glazed facades in representative building projects outside of the typical office typology. An essay by Christian Schittich opens an exploration of this transformative element of architecture through fourteen works designed by as many architects. Projects range from a Shanghai tea house by Atelier Deshaus and Mikkelsen Arkitekter’s Rambøll Headquarters in Copenhagen, to works by Atelier Kempe Thill, Wiel Arets, Pezo von Ellrichshausen and more.

Résumé:
Through a lively exploration of material culture, literature, and architecture, 'American Arcadia' offers a tour through California's development as a Mediterranean haven from the late nineteenth century to the present. Art historian Peter J. Holliday traces the classical influence primarily through the evidence of material culture, yet the book emphasizes the stories and people, famous and forgotten, behind the works, such as Florence Yoch, the renowned landscape designer and set designer for Gone with the Wind, and "Sister Aimee" Semple McPherson, the most publicized Christian evangelist of her day, whose sermons filled the Pantheon-like Angelus Temple.

Résumé:
In the first book on Tschichold to be based on extensive archive research, Burke turns fresh and revealing light on his subject. He sets Tschichold in the network of artists and designers who constituted New Typography in its moment of definition and exploration, and puts new emphasis on Tschichold as an activist collector, editor and writer. Tschichold’s work is shown in colour throughout, in freshly made photographs of examples drawn from public and private collections. This is not a biography, but rather a discussion of the work seen in the context of Tschichold’s life and the times in which he lived.

Résumé:
Published with an exhibition at Bonniers Konsthall in Stockholm, this volume documents artworks which demonstrate how the distinction between form and content is difficult to maintain. Moreover, these works show that content also comes out of the material, and is not just communicated through it. Creation, processes, and becoming are all emphasised in an homage to craftsmanship and exploration of material changeability. There are also social and political dimensions, wherein several of the artists focus on the transference of knowledge, generosity, and alternative forms of organisation. With work by Sheila Hicks, Abdoulaye Konaté, Lee Mingwei, Petrit Halilaj, and more.
