Résumé:
Travel is an important part of British architect Wilkinson’s life and work, taking him as far afield as the West Indies, Russia, Egypt, Australia and Japan. Wherever he goes, he finds an hour or two to sit and sketch. In this publication, Wilkinson presents the best of his travel sketchbooks, with his views of inspirational buildings and urban skyscapes. From the medieval Tuscan town of Lucca to ancient Egyptian architecture, the Sydney Opera House and the skylines of London, Tokyo and New York, Wilkinson introduces each sketch in this volume and ruminates on his work, his travels and the cities and buildings that have most inspired him.

Résumé:
This 56th issue is the first one we are publishing in English, French, and now Spanish. Its title, ''Bulldozer Politics'', is a reference to a small book written by Léopold Lambert in 2016 about the systematic use of the bulldozer by the Israeli state to destroy Palestinian homes since 1948. This issue revisits this book, translates some of its main parts, and put its argument about the precise political order of “ruination” in dialogue with other geographical contexts, namely India (Shivangi Mariam Raj), Colombia and Brazil (Jaime Amparo Alves and Stella Zagatto Paterniani), the US (Francesca Russello Ammon), France (Hajer Ben Boubaker), Egypt (Omnia Khalil and Azza Ezzat), and Cambodia (Kavich Neang).

Résumé:
Africa’s population and economic growth make it the world’s fastest urbanizing continent. While some might still associate Africa with rural development, the future of Africa is, in fact, very urban. This urbanization is a huge challenge in areas with fragile institutional frameworks and chronic poverty. Many migrants moving to the city end up in self-organized settlements without basic services. ''Urban Africa'' brings together authors from various academic, political, and design backgrounds: as well as case studies on new towns in Ghana, Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Morocco, Kenya etc. In this way, the book provides a critical narrative about contemporary ''Urban Africa'' and the western world’s role – if any – in the radical transformations happening today.
