Résumé:
On August 13, 2015, in the e-flux headquarters in New York’s Lower East Side, Léopold, alongside contributors and friends Sadia Shirazi, geunsaeng ahn, and Minh-Ha T. Pham, launched The Funambulist magazine, after five years of existence of The Funambulist as a blog (and later, a podcast). Ten years later, we propose an issue to celebrate this anniversary and take a pause to reflect on our trajectory. Rather than engaging in a self-congratulatory exercise, this September-October 2025 issue favors an introspective one, insisting on what we could have done better this past decade. This is how we asked ten loyal readers (some of whom are also contributors to the magazine) to play the role of editors in this issue, and commission a piece on a topic they feel has been remarkably missing from our first 60 issues’ editorial line.

Résumé:
Detail magazine issue 5 2017 focuses on bioclimatic construction and introduces projects that have developed strategies for dealing with climatic conditions in order to improve the quality of indoor and outdoor spaces. Instead of costly high-tech solutions, we compiled examples that approach regional conditions with carefully planned, low-tech measures to great effect – from the subtropics in Malawi to the glacier region of Norway and Mediterranean Europe. In Hanoi, a tube-style house by Vo Trong Nghia Architects filters strong sunlight through concrete slats, and allows air to circulate between the floors to ventilate its deep, narrow spaces. To protect from monsoon rains, the Dutch firm SchilderScholte developed a prototypical concept for a community center in Bangladesh, that makes use of local bamboo and drains rainwater off wide roof overhangs, which also provide shade.

Résumé:
The first issue of ''Interlope'' honors the editorial plurality that the magazine claims: 240 pages, about thirty subjects. It includes portraits of designers and artists (Nicolas Di Felice, Ariana Papademetropoulos, Gaspar Noé...), musicians (HYD, Yeule, Bernardino Femminielli...), as well as a file of unpublished short stories by several writers revolving around vice (Oscar Coop-phane, Simon Johannin, Matthieu Peck...) Between two series devoted to the emerging English and French music scenes, "the fire that burns you", photographers-filmmakers reveal their vision of Kazakhstan and architects question the idea of black. Since, by definition, the underworld operates in the shadows, this issue focuses on those we hear about at night. Also this edition investigates what remains of provocation. In a world of semi-generalized apathy, isn't that a brave act, asks the editorial.

Résumé:
In 1936, the first and only issue of the magazine telehor (Greek for television) was released in four languages as a special edition on and by László Moholy-Nagy. This facsimile reprint of the magazine is accompanied by a commentary volume. The reprint makes the magazine accessible again in terms of its artistic and theoretical-historical dimensions and particular attention has been paid to the production process. Thus the volume appears spiral-bound, an ultramodern technique in the mid-1930s. The commentary contains an editorial statement that places the magazine, telehor, in the context of the art and media of the 1920s and 1930s and unlocks the position of the artistic avant-garde at the intersection of two epochs. It also contains new translations of the original texts: in Mandarin, Russian, Hungarian and Spanish.
