This project series documents the design and construction of an office building and planning for additional projects in North York, Ontario from 1976-1983. The office identified the project number as 7626. The project consisted of a ten storey office building located at 1500 Don Mills Road with approximately 250,000 square feet of space. Owned and commissioned by Marathon Realty, the majority of the building's space was designed for rental. The ground floor of the building was to host retail spaces and a connection to local transit. The project was divided into two phases. Phase I was the construction of this office building and Phase II was the construction of an additional office building and a parking structure on the same property. Under this project number, only Phase I was realized, with the additional buildings receiving their own project numbers from the office later on. The project is recorded through drawings, construction progress photographs, textual records and a mounted work of art dating from 1974-1983. The textual records include correspondence, site reports, tests and inspections, meeting minutes and reports, specifications, tenders documents, detail planning records, change orders, supplementary instructions and financial records. Also included is an article written by John C. Parkin for Canadian Architect on the development of the property, which previously hosted his own offices until their demolition before the start of this project (see box AP018.S1.1976.PR19.025). Hejduk was invited by the organizers of the XVII Triennale di Milano, under the direction of Pierluigi Nicolin, to submit a project for the Triennale's theme of 'Nine Projects for Nine Cities' (Shkapich, 12 Nov. 1992). This group of drawings and photocopies of preliminary sketches by Hejduk is based on the "MZ7" document, which was compiled under the direction of Giorgio Fiorese and Marsia Deimichei and includes site information and a series of photographs of the Bovisa district of Milan (Fiorese 1987, p. 41). Created by Hejduk in New York during the summer of 1986, the drawings are a combination of real and fictional architecture and figures based on the photographs of the "MZ7" document.

Cedric Price was hired to convert a tent into a theatre venue. The tent structure was designed for an audience of 1,200 and was to be used for a six-month period. Due to cost and time constraints, the materials were recycled: the seating came from a demolished cinema; the steel structure from a field near Hartlepool; and the mobile heating was provided by the Dutch Military (Cedric Price-Works II). Design development drawings show numerous plans and sections of the tent structure and structural components; a plan and section show the seating arrangements; a section through the tent shows various internal stackable structures; and an axonometric view of the site shows the main tent, a tin hut entrance bar, and military mobile heaters. Reprographic copies of construction drawings of a Cinerama and circus structure with details of trussing configurations, mast layout and anchor plans were possibly for reference purposes. Some material in this file was published in "Cedric Price Supplement", 'Architectural Design', vol. 40, (October 1970), 516, and Price, Cedric, 'Cedric Price-Works II' (London: Architectural Press, 1984), 72, 76. This project consisted of a proposed housing complex on the corner of St. Joseph and St. Nicholas Streets, comprised of three components - the Dovestar condominiums, the CityHome building and a Co-op building. Maintaining the historic building facades along St. Joseph Street, the 19-storey Dovestar condominiums would bridge over St. Nicholas Street to connect to the CityHome building as one congruent structure. Across the street from Dovestar, the CityHome building was defined as the first five storeys of the property, also with historic facades at the lower levels, and the remaining storeys were part of the Dovestar condominium. The Co-op building was entirely separate, set apart from the others by a common outdoor garden space. Dovestar was to be a 312 unit condominium complex, approximately 32,000 square metres in size, with retail spaces and two-storey townhouse units on the ground floor. The CityHome building would be 35 units, approximately 3,500 square metres in size, with retail, restaurant spaces, and two-storey townhouse units on the ground floor.
