Résumé:
Reprinted facsimile edition of a masterpiece of modern typography. "For the Voice" is considered to be Lissitzky's masterpiece of modern typography which was originally published in Berlin in 1923. As Lissitzky explained, "I have tried to create an equivalent unity using the poem and the typography," this book is a magnificent example of collaboration between poet and artist. Lissitzky provided visual interpretation of Mayakovsky's poems and each of them is accompanied by a dynamic visual composition with symbolic meaning. Printed letters in red, black and white tones become pictorial signs, contributing to each poem's identity.

Résumé:
This volume commemorates Robert Adams' receipt of the Hasselblad Foundation International Award in Photography for 2009. The Foundation singled out Adams' ability to consolidate the medium's history: "as photography has altered and fragmented, he has refined and reaffirmed its inherent language, adapting the legacies of nineteenth-century and modernist photography to his own very singular purpose. Precise and undramatic, Adams' accumulative vision of the West now stands as a formidable document, reflecting broader, global concerns about the environment, while consistently recognizing signs of human aspiration and elements of hope, across a particular changing landscape."

Résumé:
Street art is a phenomenon which exists across the world's urban centers. What was once regarded as a nuisance at best or vandalism at worst, is now increasingly being recognized as an important art form. This book brings together the finest examples of street art in Berlin, a city bursting with artistic energy and expression. Working primarily at night, street artists leave their messages on building facades, mailboxes, advertisements, traffic signs and trash bins. The author has spent many years photographing street art before it is erased by the authorities and he collects here the best work of the city's preeminent street artists.

Résumé:
At a time marked by the climate crisis and violent conflicts, an increasing number of architects are turning to impermanence and adaptability to show an alternate path to tackle the fragility and scarcity affecting our planet. Counter to the neoliberal appetite for abundance and the delirium of indefinite growth, this issue explores the relationship between nature and economy. It examines the social construction of scarcity, finding in certain communities signs of resilience and adaptative intelligence. Case studies in Thailand, India, Iran, Rwanda, Niger, Colombia, and Ecuador serve to illuminate this new path. Also in this issue, an interview with Mexican architect Fernanda Canales.

Résumé:
'Abitata pietra' (lived-in stone) is a publishing project by Antonio Cammareri, Stefania D’Amato, and Luogo Comune. It is an intense investigation, a graphic and geographical visual narration, a landscape of signs, a collection of illustrations that analyse particular and global elements, fragments and entities, in an attempt to define the rupestrian landscape that connects the italian territories of Matera, Montescaglioso, and many other towns and 'inhabited topographies' all over the world. The book is the result of site specific research and narrative experimentation carried out collectively by the artists and includes five photographic contributions on rupestrian civilisation.
