Résumé:
The visibility of climate-emergency phenomena and multiplying crises results in a growing awareness of immediate and long-term repercussions of our design actions. Led by Urszula Kozminska, the project "Time matters" is a collective reflection on an open and experimental approach towards sustainability in which the idea of time is the core of investigations. It aims to showcase the power of fictional architectural narratives in stimulating new ways of mapping, designing, constructing, and communicating. Furthermore, the project promotes an architecture that evolves alongside shifting conditions and introduces its dynamics as a primary design parameter.

Résumé:
In "Reinventing heritage," Park Associati—a Milan-based interdisciplinary collective of architects, designers, and researchers—explores the transformative potential of adaptive reuse in architecture as a key strategy to address environmental, social, and economic challenges. Rather than demolishing and rebuilding, adaptive reuse champions the repurposing of existing structures to extend their lifecycle, reduce waste, and foster sustainable urban regeneration. Through a combination of theoretical insights and practical case studies, "Reinventing heritage" highlights the diverse ways in which adaptive reuse can revitalize cities and honor cultural heritage while creating innovative spaces serving contemporary demands.

This book, which since its initial publication has become a standard work for designers of infrastructure, provides a fundamental approach to infrastructure based on four characteristics: as the cause of increased mobility, as a physical presence, as an initiator of movement, and as a collective shared experience of space. These characteristics form the guideline for four chapters that describe a typology of the design concepts that are used worldwide in current practice. Each chapter is illustrated with key projects from around the world, by designers such as Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid, Arata Isozaki and OMA.

Résumé:
From specific case studies on artists (Nalini Malani) and recent events (StrikeMoMA, “artwashing”) to global reflections and philosophical essays about what it means and how to resist today, this book offers a polyphonic thinking about a burning topic in our ever more complex global world. The core stakes identified by the 11 writers are the relationships between art and democracy, resistance as value creation, the oppositions between the personal and the collective, the so-called “system” and anti-system thinking, and how the art world can propose, accompany, and respond to today’s forms of resistance.

DRIFT was established in Amsterdam in 2007 by Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta. In their installations and interactive sculptures, environmental issues, human nature, and technology intersect in an intriguing way. Over the course of more than a decade, their immersive, encompassing, and often site-specific projects have been exhibited all over the world, offering a meditative and poetic experience and addressing themes such as the relationship between the individual and the collective and the impact of technology in our society. This is the first book to explore their extraordinary world in depth.
