Résumé:
Born in 1945 in Dalat, South Vietnam, French photographer Bernard Plossu has traveled extensively throughout his life, immersing himself in the cultures of Chiapas in Mexico, the American West, India, the Aeolian Islands and Niger. ''Bernard Plossu: The Still Hour'' gathers 106 images taken over the course of 30 years from Plossu’s travels in the South of France, Spain, Greece, Italy and Turkey. In these black-and-white snapshots, the omnipresent white light eclipses people in a visual exercise that reflects on the real dimension of landscapes and architectures; the images shape a timeless space in an almost surrealistic, dreamlike journey through time and light.

Résumé:
Zug Zuoz is devoted to two contrasting Turrell installations in Switzerland, both of which forge an encounter between the architectural interior and the world beyond it. "Light Transport," located in the city of Zug, immerses the internal façades and glass roof of the local train station in splendid colors; "Skyspace Piz Uter" in Zuoz is a plain, rounded stone structure with a circular aperture in its roof through which to view the night sky. These two works are usefully representative of the dichotomies explored in Turrell's practice: artificial versus natural light, urban versus rural settings, color versus blackness. This monograph supplies thorough documentation on the two installations.

An early ideal for design inspired by place, Can Lis rests on a Mallorcan cliff, nearly concealed by the marés stone from which it was made. Photographs by Simon Watson chart the movement of light along the compound that served as Utzon’s family home for over two decades, his first permanent residence following his work on the Sydney Opera House. A curated selection of archival photographs, sketches, and blueprints mined from Utzon’s private collection guide readers from early plans for Can Lis to the everyday ways the home was inhabited.

Résumé:
This project began with the opportunity to photograph Monte da Lapa, one of Álvaro Siza’s last projects in Porto. Its dual simplicity and complexity opened the creative doors to a universe where light, matter, and space dialogue with almost poetic precision. Using black and white was not only an aesthetic choice for photographer Pedro Cardigo but also a tribute to the timelessness of Siza’s work. It emphasises the purity of the forms, the contrast between light and shadow, and the texture of the materials. Featuring photographs of numerous works by Siza, this is both a celebration of the architect’s creative genius and an invitation to the viewer to see them through Cardigo’s eyes.
