This second volume of Design Academy Eindhoven's smartly edited new urban design journal takes on the Dapperbuurt neighborhood in Amsterdam - which has a well-known public market, but needs a face-lift and public safety improvements - as a case study. Urban design students have come up with a constellation of interesting proposals to give Dapperbuurt a new identity. The perfect-bound journal includes texts by experts on the theme of urban space, research materials, photos of the neighborhood and its residents, schematics and drawings, and scale models.

The phenomenology of bathing opens all of our senses toward the physical world entwined with the social, while the history of bathing is one of shared space, in both natural and built environments. In ''The architecture of bathing,'' Christie Pearson offers a unique examination of communal bathing and its history from the perspective of architecture and landscape. This book offers a celebration of spaces in which public and private, sacred and profane, ritual and habitual, pure and impure, nature and culture commingle.

Résumé:
Didier Fiuza Faustino: misarchitectures brings together for the first time the entire work of Didier Faustino and his office Bureau des Mesarchitectures. Through drawings, diagrams, photographs and essays this part-monograph part-manifesto explores the ideas that drive Faustino’s architectural and artistic works: the political and ethical conditions for constructing sites and spaces within the socio-cultural layout of the city, and in particular how to critically approach the problem of the body in both private and public space. At the same time, the book revisits Faustino’s projects – from sculptures and installations, to public art, architectures and books – up to his most recent work, offering new insight into the architect’s perspective.

Résumé:
This catalog traces German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans' unique 2025 project at the Centre Pompidou, for which he was given a generous carte blanche. The result occupied the entire second floor of the Public Information Library, where Tillmans' experimental installation transformed the space, establishing a dialogue with the former library and questioning it both as architecture and as a locus for the transmission of knowledge. The work explores over 35 years of artistic practice through various photographic genres and constitutes another very personal representation of his universe, whose order and logic are activated in response to the library space. With 600 images, an index of the works alternates with numerous installation shots that show how the artist made this space his own, while a varied selection of essays by a younger generation of authors sheds new light on the various aspects of Tillmans' work.

Résumé:
How do photographers select, order, and display their images to make visual arguments about built and natural environments? Conceived as part of a long-term project at the CCA to examine the contemporary role of photography in the study and practice of architecture, The Lives of Documents — Photography as Project prompts reflections on the idea of the documentary as an embedded quality of photography. Tracing the research materials, archiving practices, and production processes of diverse authors, photographers Bas Princen and Stefano Graziani highlight a selection of photographic projects that model our visible world by investigating notions of landscape and its destruction, global infrastructure, intimacy and interiority, and conditions of urban and domestic space and life. This publication follows Princen and Graziani’s travels to understand how artists use photography as a tool for their artistic research and how they conceive of their projects as evolving and expanding explorations. Bringing together studio visit images, artist interviews, and Princen and Graziani’s own reproduction of photographic projects, it emphasizes how photography reveals and expresses lived and built realities in ways that traditional architectural tools fail to represent or communicate.
