The drawings for Nature Brutal and Capricious are based on tiny passages of light and dark from found etchings. When taken out of their original context, these insignificant folds and shadows mutate into phantasmagoric figures with distinct personalities. When revisiting the found etchings, the figures haunt the original source material by becoming perceptually photoshopped into it.
