Résumé:
Italo Rota was born in 1953 in Milan and graduated from the Milan Polytechnic Institute in 1982. In 1980, he and Gae Aulenti created the plans for the Musee d’Orsay and the Centre Beaubourg in Paris. In 1990, he initiated the planning for the Center for Postgraduate Studies at Columbia University. His return to Italy marked the beginning of a highly creative phase, including projects that ranged from museum installations, the "Maison Cavalli" (the showroom-cafés in Miami, Milan, and Moscow), to a series of public buildings in Italy and India. This book focuses on a recent decade of Rota’s work and is aimed at professionals and lovers of architecture, fashion, and design.

Résumé:
This publication presents local and international voices providing a critical snapshot of recent Chilean urban projects, public spaces, and architectures. It explores the credentials and potentials of Chilean contemporary practices beyond the external categorizations that have received from specialized media, analyzing them instead in relation to the city and the question of public space. This book shows a selection of projects made by Chilean scholars Luis Eduardo Bresciani, Romy Hecht, and Rodrigo Pérez de Arce, which is assessed by the international scholars Saskia Sassen, Stan Allen and Iñaki Ábalos, and it's followed by the conversations between them moderated by Columbia GSAPP Professors Clara Irazábal, Galia Solomonoff and Enrique Walker, plus a reflection on Chilean cities and public space by Mark Wigley.

Résumé:
In 1966, German artist Gerhard Richter (born 1932) embarked on a series of paintings: uniform grids of colored rectangles or squares in a chart configuration against a white background, inspired by industrially produced paint chips. With the exception of only one other painting, this marked the artist’s first use of color and a turning point in his career. This comprehensive catalogue is the first publication dedicated to the original Colour Charts, both those created in 1966 and those made in the ‘70s after a five-year hiatus. Featuring new essays by Dietmar Elger, head of the Gerhard Richter Archive; Hubertus Butin, curator and author of several key texts on Richter; and Jaleh Mansoor, professor at the University of British Columbia.
