With this idea at its foundation, Room for Artifacts contains a collection of sixteen architectural artifacts designed by WOJR—a mask, a church, a labyrinth, a dwelling, a bust, and a series of totems, among others. The artifacts are presented three times throughout the book—in conceptual drawings, architectural drawings, and images. Certain characteristics recur, such as symmetry, frontality, figurality, proportionality, and play between flatness and depth, underscoring WOJR’s preoccupation with the fundamental aspects of architectural form that are rich in historical precedent. Room for Artifacts offers a new way to explore the role of architectural representation in a contemporary context, looking at how architects can invoke aspects of ideologies from architects of the past while establishing a progressive agenda for a forward-looking body of work.

In "Apollo's Eye", geographer Denis Cosgrove examines the historical implications for the West of conceiving and representing the earth as a globe: a unified, spherical body. Cosgrove traces how ideas of globalism and globalization have shifted historically in relation to changing images of the earth, from antiquity to the Space Age. He connects the evolving image of a unified globe to politically powerful conceptions of human unity. Cosgrove constructs a genealogy of global images from classical Greece and Rome to the present, giving special attention to the early sixteenth century, when Europeans circumnavigated the earth, relocated it within their understanding of the cosmos, and revolutionized its representation in models and maps. The eighth issue of Errant Journal questions the ways in which hegemonic culture and discourse tends to prioritize the ideal of openness, access, transparency, and visibility. Delving into topics such as face coverings, ‘'coming out'’ in queer discourses, the use of opacity in transformative justice, and different strategies of (visual) resistance, ‘'Against Visibility'’ can be read as a proposition of refusal of the paradigm of visibility and access that permeates all areas of western thinking. At a moment in which representation and uncovering ‘'lost'’ histories are trending, Errant asks what is being erased in a world where everything must always be visible. When Édouard Glissant proclaimed the right to opacity, he sought not to be reduced or to be measured against an ideal scale in order to be understood and accepted. Expanding from this, ''Against Visibility'' looks into the ways in which unlearning imperialism also includes unlearning the ideal of visibility itself.
